Works with me. I have just checked out CVS source and tried it out. Both auto-versioning and explicit CHECKOUT-CHECKIN are working. I'm using MySQLDescriptorsStore+FileContentStore pair with cadaver as a client. This configuration has been working OK for me since last year, though I usually use only auto-versioning.
