Well...

There is msdaipp.dll,

1) a MSDAC data provider based on HTTP/WebDAV *and*
2) an explorer shell extension that can display WebDAV collections

There are also hooks inside IE to open a webfolder (through the menu and the
"folder" behaviour"), but they rely on the DLL above.

Windows XP has yet another WebDAV access method (the mini redirector), which
*does* map to a drive letter but which seems to have so many problems that
it's almost useless.
