An article in the latest JavaPro caused me to wonder if I'm unfairly biased against storing large files in a database. I've always thought that CLOBs and BLOBs were there as a developer convenience, but ultimately a file system was the better way to store large objects. I know that Slide supports database content stores and I'm curious to hear of people's experience with this. Is performance comparable to a filesystem-based content store?
