Anyone any ideas, what Word may expect as an answer?
Thanks in advance,

I can reproduce the problem as well, but this is not specific to the file store. The database stores do not work with this as well. I will investigate this further...

Hi,
I can confirm this problem. I assume that it is a problem with the file store. If you save a word document (save as...) word is locking the name of the resource it wants to create. I think the file store can not handle this kind of locks. I'll pass over this bug to Oliver so that it will be fixed soon, but he's on holiday at the moment and so it might take some time.

I just wanted to clarify this problem: "Save As" (from MS Word etc.)
doesn't seem work ONLY when I am creating a new document in the web folder -
(meaning when I use 'Save As' to create a new document). The error I am
getting is a "Network or File permission error".
If I am editing an already existing document in the Web Folder, I can save
my changes and it works. Versioning works as well.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, -Sajeev Joseph

I am using the WebDAV Servlet 'out of the box', for saving files on to the
'/slide/files/' folder, from XP.
I am finding that, I can copy files from XP into the folder, as well as
drag and drop them. However, I am unable to use the 'Save As' feature
(from MS Word or Notepad) to save a document I am editing, to the folder.
It gives me an error.
Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks, -Sajeev Joseph
