Yes. Check out http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/webfolder-client-list.html#version-8.103.5219.0. The actual problem is the redirect-on-propfind error, and it only seems to effect Win2k SP4 and WinXP SP1. The solution I've found that works is to get a copy of the MSDAIPP.DLL from an Office 2003 install (any 2003 product should work, I used Visio 2003) and replace the dll on the SP4 machines. Be sure to run regsvr32 to register the new dll.
-James >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 7/14/2004 1:45:57 AM >>> Hi, Is there a known issue with using a Web Folder (IE6->File->Open->Open as Web Folder) to access Slide on Windows 2000 sp4? Ive just downloaded the binary release 'jakarta-slide-2.1M1-tomcat-5.0.19'. On trying to open the Web Folder I get the following error: "Internet Explorer could not open <http://localhost:8080/slide/> as a Web Folder. Would you like to see its default view instead?" If I select 'yes' I am prompted to login, and then I can see the directory listing in html form as expected - suggesting that Slide is running ok. As far as the client is concerned, I am able to open Web Folders to WebDAV locations provided by Apache 2 Http Server (mod_dav) and Oracle 9i DB. Any help appreciated.
