sorry for that...

Fair enough, that's why we chose Slide 2.0 Beta when we started our

project.

And then a beta is nothing for production. If things change from a beta to a final that simply is the way it is.

That's true, indeed. However, at that time the only alternative that we had was Slide 1.x which lacked some important functionality and was incompatible with the upcoming 2.0 version. So we did the pilot project using 2.0 Beta. Now we're refactoring our code (he-he, why does it always happen?! :)) and choosing where to migrate - 2.0 Release (which is more stable) or 2.1 M1 (which has some tempting new functionality). Well, 2.0 Release seems a way to go for us.

I would recommend to go with 2.0! There are some fixes (e.g. TLocks, Sequences) and also the new feature of external transactions that required changes in the kernel in 2.1. I am almost sure some issues will arise in beta testing that will require more work on the code. Thus 2.1 kernel is likely to change in some respect from beta to final.

You can still do the migration from 2.0 to 2.1 as soon as 2.1 is stable.

Please share your experiences in the Wiki!

Thanks in advance and cheers,

Oliver
