1. In slide.properties turn of versioning (this is in the slide-kernel jar file under org/apache/slide). I don't know if you can safely remove those paths from the Domain.xml, but they won't be used anymore.
2. In the Domain.xml there's a permissions tag that grants "all" to "/roles/root". Change /roles/root to "authenticated". 3. Remove the roles from Domain.xml. You may still need to create the root /roles node. Again, since Slide expects a /roles node I don't know how it will handle the node not being there. 4. I think you'll still need the actions, since they build on eachother and I think "all" is one of the actions (I could be wrong about that, though).
