Hi Ajay, We are also looking for using slide in enetrprisewise environment. We are using WebDav Api and we could not get required response time ( 700 ms at 500 users). What was response time from your stress tests? Is slide api faster? How easy it is to use from development point of view? Thanks, rd.
kranga <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Ajay, When you say servers in geographically dispersed locations, are you saying a distributed scheme where slide multiple deployments were accessing the same store? What are you using for your content store - file or db? Also, how many users do you have using the system and what were the parameters of the stress test (number of concurrent users/average response time/operations performed)? We didn't find scalability to be an issue, our stress test results were quite good, but we had problems when we implemented webDAV in app server (clustered sets of WS4/WS5) and the requests had to pass through the web server to get to the appserver. We had some issues with caching in clustered environment. But we implemented Slide when Slide 2.0 was still in development (not even released)..We used Slide APIs to meet our objectives, but slide 2.1 seems to deliver a lot of features we would have liked to have at the first place. You should do a prototype and test the environment issues to find out how it all fits in ur environment. Good luck with ur implementation. --Ajay Ajay K Mallik | Development and Implementation Specialist | MortgageHub, Inc. | 610.834.3800 x107 -----Original Message----- From: St.Germain, Jeffrey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2004 10:02 AM To: 'Slide Users Mailing List' Subject: large enterprise installation of Slide Hello All, We are considering implementing Slide as the basis of a content repository for the Virtual Education Space. We currently use Computer Associates Cleverpath portal, which includes a content management module. We have about 45,000 users with the potential of about 1,000,000 over the next few years. Has there been large enterprise installation of Slide? If so can you tell me where? We have questions about scalability.
