Hello Henning, Slide does support connecting to an ldap server for authentication purposes. I didn't figure it all out yet, but there is an example domain.xml file in the mail archives witch you can consult for some insight.
Just past in 'ldap' or 'JNDIPrincipalStore' in the search text... There are some issues about the tomcat realm also, but in that message of the mail archive you will find info about out to set it up. Hope this helps, Miguel __________ Hi, I'm currently planning to use slide in a project where a central database of users and attributes exist (in LDAP, so we're flexible here). In the Slide docs that I've seen so far, the user and ACL management for slide seems to be part of the store (the servlet container serving the slide application is configured to use slide information to request authentication). Also user creation and ACL management is part of slide as described on http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/howto-create-users.html Is it possible to get this information from an external source (e.g. a LDAP server or a database). I haven't found anything about this and the diagrams on http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/architecture.html seem to suggest, that this is not (yet?) possible. Regards Henning -- Dipl.-Inf. (Univ.)
