Really? But the specification says that the displayname is the name to be shown to the user so it sounds like the web folders usage is correct as far as the spec is concerned?
It would be correct if it would be shown *in addition* to the URL (thus duplicate displaynames would be ok), and if the client would use the actual URL (instead of the collection's URL + the displayname) to access the resource. So yes, a client *can* use the displayname, but it needs to do it carefully; the Webfolder client doesn't, which means it's broken.

Even if their implementation isn't correct. Can you direct me to any docs or write-ups on this?
