I don't need JAAS, how can I configure Domain.xml to allow access without auth?
How can I configure domain.xml to pass all authentication to my own class?

So, the short answer is, yes it works, but if you do not configure JAAS properly (which is done by the ant target mentioned above) you will experience the problems you currently have.
