Stefan, thanks for the info. Yes, actually, I can open a, say, Word file - but in the "read-only" mode! Therefore I can't save it to the original location. Might the fact that we use Slide 2.0 be the reason?
No, that should have nothing to do with slide. For opening in "write" mode the entry OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing is responsable. What Office version are you using? I kown it works for 2002 and 2003.
