Just eliminating the obvious... is Slide properly up and running? Start it by executing: jakarta-slide-2.1-tomcat-5.0.28\bin\startup
And make sure there are no exceptions thrown in the startup log (if you run on a unix system, tail the catalina log file, in Windows you'll see the log in the command prompt window).
