Hi Kolja,

I'm just learning Slide myself, but I think that the user id / password need to be passed in the Authorization header inside the HTTP request, rather than as part of the URL. If you want to have username/password as part of the URL, I think you would have to write a filter (as specified in web.xml) that does that conversion.

Hi all,

why is it, that with SlideRealm/JAAS as authentication scheme, when
connecting via Windows Explorer (WebFolder Client) or via the slide ant
tasks the first connection always is (or assumed to be) unauthenticated,
resulting in a username is null exception on server side? In Explorer
sometimes I give a full http://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/slide URL and nonetheless
have to provide user and pass again. Is it something in the JAAS
implementation?

Thanks for your hints, Kolja
