Hi
I'm trying to learn about WebDAV and I've gotten the Slide java
client up and running on my Mac. I'd like to be able to download/
upload files from/to my .Mac account, list the contents of remote
directories, etc... i figured out how to connect to the my
account. for those interested its very simple, just issue the
following command at '[Slide]' prompt ...
open http://idisk.mac.com/[insert you .mac account name here]
you will then be prompted for your username/password.
anyway - the reason i'm writing to the group is that when i issue a
'ls' command - i don't get the result i would expect. using
'DAVGoliath' and the actual mac finder - i get the following list of
files/directories in my idisk account ...
- About your iDisk.rtf
> Backup
> Documents
> Groups
etc ...
[NOTE : in the above list '-' indicates a file and '>' indicates a
directory]
when i issue a 'ls' command from the '[Slide]' prompt i get the
following result ...
[insert my .mac account name here] (NOTE: for obvious reasons i
don't want to put my actual account name here)
- About your iDisk.rtf
[NOTE : in the above list '-' indicates a file]
so - why doesn't the directory list not appear like it does in other
WebDAV clients ? what am i doing wrong ?
for what its worth - if i 'cd' into a directory i know is there,
like 'Documents' it works, i just can't see the 'Documents' directory
(or any other directory at the root level).
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
dave
