Hi!

Maybe you can write a ContentEvent listener which keeps track of space used by 
content under say top level collections. Otherwise, you always have to traverse 
the collection structure. Then you can keep that number as a property on the 
top level collections, as well as the allowed quota per collection for easy 
editing. Since those events are vetoable (I think), you can throw a 
VetoException when the quota would be violated.
