Best way is to dive in. Start with the bundled, configure it and start playing with it. Don't start with the API. Use the Web Folders and Command Line Client to get a feel for it. Then look at the Stores and what you can do there. Then look at the Command Line Client sources. I have had better success building integrations to Slide with custom stores and custom clients based on the Command Line Client sources than with the "API".
Have a look at the Slide wiki and my own little tome. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/edu/os-dw-os-cms1-i.html Michael Oliver CTO Alarius Systems LLC 6800 E. Using it in production environment. The api is awfull to use and quite unstable from version to version Not a week without an undocumented behaviour/bug poping out of nowhere Big design curiosity at some places in code But an overall working webdav server, and a usable CMS, as long as you take the necessary time to learn all of it's subtles.
