Another Web application should save files to the webdav repository. I'm
doing this using WebdavResource. But this make an http connection that
is an additional overhead. I would like some kind of API to work on
slide repository without the risk of repository corruption.

Not really. While I've done a frankenstein-ish solution involving
internal slide structures, bit it really isn't pretty.
I'm now doing the reverse process, converting the code to WebdavResource.
