hi! ich fahre mein slimserver auf einem VIA ITX mainboard mit VIA ULV prozessor @ 800MHz (PIII-äquivalent).
darin: -> 1x 160 GB 5400 UPM (samsung) -> 1x 250 GB 5400 UPM (samsung) -> 1 GB RAM -> passiv gekühltes ITX gehäuse -> 100 Mbit e-net seit ich die 2. platte drin hab, zieht das ding ca. 55W, davor waren es ca. 45 W. das ganze hat ca. 650 gekostet. allerdings war das teuerste daran mit ca. 110 der RAM-upgrade (das uralt RAM gibts nur noch zu horrorpreisen). das war nötig, weil die kiste mit 256 MB permanent am swappen war und reaktionen auf die fernbedienung teilweise 10-15 sekunden gedauert haben. seit dem upgrade auf 1GB aber keinerlei probleme mehr. deshalb: lieber an der CPU sparen (geld und strom!), dafür mehr RAM und höchstens 1 (langsame!) platte dran. notebook wäre optimal - ich habe auch noch so ein altes teil, aber das zieht auch schon so ca 25W. wenn ich dann noch ne große externe platte dran mache (ich brauch mind. 250 GB für musik + video), lande ich auch bei ca. 35W... -- dcote ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dcote's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9701 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35048
