to hczim Danke...würd ich gern machen, doch eben...das directory /etc/environment existiert nicht auf meinem System - hhm, ist wohl ein Thema für ein Xubuntu-Forum?? Mit "locale" erhalte ich die beschriebene Ausgabe.
