Ich habe folgenden Einzeiler in einem Script direkt auf meinem Server

(echo "rescan")|nc -w1 localhost 9090
--------------------
startet einen rescan, wenns aus der Ferne gemacht werden soll, müsst
man das localhost austauschen.
Verwendet wird wie von Micheal beschrieben, das 'netcat'-Programm.
Ob man über die Zeile auch Rückgabewerte ausgewertet bekommt, weiß ich
nicht - aber bestimmt. Zumindest hast nun genug Futter, um den Rest
wahrscheinlich per Google rauszubekommen.
