So, danke @flysurfer, ich habe nun meinen alten Raspberry mit dem max2play tool so weit als möglich übertaktet, und was soll ich sagen - er läuft jetzt wieder gut. Ich habe mir gedanklich schon einen 2er gekauft, aber das ist nun nicht mehr nötig.
