How can I use a jar to run sling

HI:
   
      As I remembered , in the launchpad app project.
I can run a sling demo only with a jar (with java -jar command ), to my 
surprise the latest versioin can't work well.

      Now I want to do it too , which jar can I use?
Has the architecture been changed in the launchpad?
