Okay, here's the insider's report :) There are five bands playing in Windsor at a concert called Lancer-fest (they went for the Edgefest rip-off this year :). Playing this show will be:
Juliana Hatfield Sloan The Killjoys The Super Friendz King Cool Flip (a local windsor band) Tickets are $21, but this is for U of W students only. For non-Windsor students, it will be around $25, but I'm not sure. Tickets can be bought at the UC Centre at U of W, and possibly at Dr. Disc and/or Buzz's record stores in Windsor. I haven't heard anything about tickets being sold through ticketmaster. Lancer-fest will start at about 1pm on Saturday September 23rd, but I don't know when the bands will actually start playing. They have several other things to do besides watching shows, (beer tent,.. etc) and it should finish up around 10pm so I don't think it's all too necessary to be there by one o'clock. It will be held at the St. Dennis Centre on the U of W campus, but I've been told that this isn't set in stone. That's about all I could find out. Oh yeah, I was also told that the bands usually play long sets, or at least they have in the past....
