ok since nobody has said a word about the No Cases, i will. As you may or may not have known, along with the Pop Explosion, was a series of showcases organized by three indie labels spotlighting a large number of bands who on the most part, were excluded from Mr. Rowan/Murder's shindig. I can really only speak for my own band ( Len ) but i think it is safe to say that generally fun was had by all, and it was very worthwhile. I'd like to thank all those involved and especially the people who came to see us both at our in-store, and at our showcase at the Oasis. The crowds were crazy - you guys rock, and the bands were completely supportive. The highlight of the week for me, was the resurection of Essen, a band who if i lived in Halifax i would be constantly nagging, for them to reform. I have not heard a more intense, entertaining, and original band come out of anywhere in Can. PLEASE get back together. For all the sloanetters i met, i hope to see you again, and just a quick plug- Our CD release show is this Friday at the Rivoli, guests include: Radioblaster, Hayden, Hip Club, Madhat, flant cake, and the night is being hosted by Stinkin' Rich. Those underage who want to see the show, e-mail me personally. there'll be free shit, and loads o fun. hope to see you there.
