I hope someone can help me regarding Slony RPM packages.

I'm a bit confused.  In the documentation for 1.2.6, section 3.1 states;

"At present, Slony-I /as well as PostgreSQL/ need to be able to be
compiled from source at your site."

Which sort of implies that in order to get Slony-I working you must
build both Postgres and Slony from source, but then in section 4 it states;

"There are also RPM binaries available at that site for recent versions
of Slony-I for recent versions of PostgreSQL."

I notice that there are some RPMs on the Slony-I site but these are for
1.2.2 not the latest 1.2.6, basically we're using vresion 8.2.3 of
PostgreSQL from RPM and i'd like to know if it is possible to have an
RPM version of Slony to work with it or do we need to start again and
build them both from scratch?

Thanks for you help.

John
