The main thing is that we want to serve SoC users for linux, rather than outside. But, we need to recognize that it is a cooperative effort - we need to help others a bit if we want to get their help. I don't think that we can rely on our mirror as always being the best in future. My feeling is that we should likely be mirroring from a Singapore linux mirror.
