Hi all,
This concerns our server-to-be.
The SERVER-LINUX community has been very helpful on a review of the specs.
See http://www.comp.nus.edu.sg/~rhandeev/server.mail for what they said.
The thread in question has the Subject:
Building Kick-Ass Linux-on-Intel Server
I suspect we may want to switch to a faster uniprocessor system with 512MB
RAM and go either all SCSI or all IDE after reading the feedback.
Software RAID is looking pretty good so far.
