3 buttons.

This is one of those infuriating things. The designer
has gone to a lot of trouble giving the device the capability
of three buttons, but as a last step the manufacturer may
have disabled this capability.
You can play with raising/lowering DTR signals (search net),
with holding down a button during power up etc. etc. but this
is error prone.
Opening up the beastie may reveal where a switch once was
on the PCB. You can guess how to 'jumper' the switch for
mouse systems mode.
Unproductive, perhaps. But enormously satisfying once done.
You have un-microsofted something :)
Something is wrong with the world. The designer and the user
want the same thing, the middleman interferes.
