You mentioned you tried different mru/mtu, but it still
sounds like it might be a pmtu problem. Perhaps icmp has
been block somewhere in the path between you and ozemail.
Are you masquerading icmp?
It could cause problems if you weren't maquerading icmp,
and you were running fetchmail/netscape from a host behind
the masquerade gateway.
If all else fails, tcpdump will help you track down the problem.
