gnome-terminal doesn't seem to support several of the standard
x options. For example -display foo:0.0 doesn't work !
It also seems to be sadly lacking any reasonable docs. HTML
hidden away somewhere does NOT count. The more I use the
new-fangled rubbish in recent Linux distros, the more I like
the old, small, leak-proof stuff.
The xterm that comes with the X distribution is very good,
rvxt also seems nice. Neither of them is as good as dtterm
on Solaris, but I'll keep looking. Maybe eterm will be decent,
but most of the linux terminals seem to get ansi colours
totally wrong (xterm is closest).
