yes, providing you're actually using the 4 swap partitions.
You can check with "mount" and "swap" (or is that solaris only?)
maybe it's "free" under linux?

dunno really, if all 4 disks are the same performance maybe.
If one disk is better/faster than the others maybe swap's better
on that disk.  I think for most people it doesn't make any noticeable
difference.
