I tried a Erricson A1018 with the irda thingo attached and managed to get
my laptop to talk to it and dial out with minicom (didn't tey ppp but it
should work) and got a terminal login and typed into it only at 9600bps
though but it works seeing that the SH888 is a more expensive phone I
presume it's a normal modem as well

It is really well docunmented although my luck with trying to print to a
hp printer with iorda at 4mbs caused a few crashes
