I perceived this as a problem introduced by RH6.1 and reported it in
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7534

RedHat did not agree...  )-:

I still think it is real gotcha... you don't see it untill the next ppp
restart after the initscripts upgrade.  Then your caching DNS magically
changes.
