I vaguely remember using a PostScript macro called pdfmark which allows
you to embed PDF extensions in PostScript files - check Adobe tech notes
circa the 5000 mark.
However unless this is a once-off thing you would probably need to add
such functionality into the program generating the original PostScript;
adding pdfmarks by hand is tricky.
