no experiences. I don't see a 800VA model though, only
300, 400, 600, 1000, 1200.
It's "stepwave", not sine wave
and it monitors the power then switches over to battery when
something looks wrong, rather than running through the battery
all the time (which would be a true "online UPS" so I gather).

I don't see prices either except for "300VA models start from
approx $380".

The "Single Conversion Online UPS" -> "LAN Saver UPS"
looks much higher quality. Pure sinewave. Hard to tell if it's
a full "online UPS" - the spec sheet only has a "transfer time of
<5 msec" and the blurb implies it's not a true online UPS.
It also says "prices start from around $750 for 600VA models".
There's 600, 1000, 1400 and 1800VA models.

All come with a RS232 port and software etc which even lists
solaris (only up to 2.5 sparc and 2.4 x86 though!?) as a supported
OS - linux isn't mentioned though which seems odd given they list
the widest range of OSs I've seen from any UPS maker.

I'd be interested to find out more info.

Dave.
