If we don't get a speaker why don't we try something a little
different. How about a discussion on the funniest Y2K issues we
had with linux (if any) followed up by any funky gadgetry associated
with linux real or imagined. EG someone using a palm pilot to run a
linux car MP3 player in the boot. (I just made that up). Brainstorming
to come up with ideas for new projects.
I'd like to see some colour LCD glases that you can still see through
so you can plug them into a dual VGA system for 3D.
I'd like more invisible computers. I.E. functional devices that under
the hood run linux but you wouldn't notice. EG highly programmable VCR
with web interface. Armchair with infared interface and a touchpad to
emulate a mouse so you can just use your finger on the armrest to
control your hi-fi. Houses wired with Cat-5 as standard on every power
point - maybe even with 20VDC included.
