I had a Dell Inspiron 3500 which I had Linux on. Ran like a rocket. :) The
Dell stuff is prety much all Linux spec - in fact you can buy Linux Dell
Laptops in the US now.
Didn't have a 3D card but might be an option now. Apart from that, the
touchpad worked, my Xircom combo pc-card worked, the dual-display switch
thingy worked and KDE just looked awesome :)
I would have liked to see how it ran with the DVD option though.
