Hi All,
I will be in Sydney on Thursday for a press conference and then
briefing/discussion/grilling of Milo Medin, Chief Technical Officer of
@home in America - regarding the Optus@home service. I was not familiar
with his name, but Milo Medin has a long history of Internet
involvement, as a quick search on AltaVista shows.
I would very much like to have a copy of their fair-use policy - in case
they obfuscate and don't provide it at the time.
I am suspicious of their apparent focus on targeting their conception of
the average consumer - a dumb consumer model which fits quite a few
people, but which does not fit all.
What about business needs for subnet ranges of fixed IP addresses?
What's the definition of a server, when many consumers want to run a
games program which is effectivly a server for others to connect to?
Doesn't ICQ create a mini web server? The questions go on.
