For those interested in the building blocks of world domination :)

Transmeta (http://www.transmeta.com/) have launched Crusoe, a new
processor that runs x86 code by a form of software emulation on top of a
new simpler VLIW (Very Long Instruction Word) core.

They hope to revolutionise the mobile computing market with devices
that will run for approximately 8 hours at a time! They are also
developing mobile wireless Net devices.

Here comes the cool bit: They are developing a version of Linux called
Mobile Linux. Mobile Linux has a really small footprint, and runs
without a hard drive. Released under the GPL of course.

Lots of luck to Linus and the boys :)
