Hi guys,
I thought I'd be smart and Burn myself a copy of linux... the thing is.. it
doesn't want to load...

I downloaded the i386 directory to my winblows machine as it is the one
with the writer attached. burnt me a cd and tried it out.. it get's as far
as asking for the location of the media and I choose cdrom.. it then says
exec bad format unmounts everything and tells me to sod off basically...

When ppl like Anthony Rumble burn CD's I'm guessing u guys do it in linux.
unfortunately my scsi card is unknown to linux (as it's a noname cheap
thing) and hence it stays in my windows machine.

my questions is.. is there anyway of burning a copy of linux using what
I've got? is it a permissions thing? and if so how do I fix it?
Or is it just because it was burnt on a win98 machine ??

Help :)
one more wasted CD and I might as well have bought the damn thing
(probably better but I wanted to see if it was doable)

Thanks,
Paul
