Can anyone suggest what to do when a previously working dial-out script for ppp (ifup ppp0) suddenly dies without apparent reason? /var/log/messages tells me this: Jan 20 22:37:25 linuxbox pppd[857]: pppd 2.3.7 started by root, uid 0 Jan 20 22:37:26 linuxbox chat[862]: Can't get terminal parameters: Input/output error Jan 20 22:37:26 linuxbox pppd[857]: Connect script failed Jan 20 22:37:27 linuxbox pppd[857]: Exit. Are there other error logs where I could search for more verbose clues? What does "Can't get terminal parameters: Input/output error" indicate? Modem WAS working under LINUX and still works under Windoze. The chatscript doesn't get executed at all (if I hide the chatscript by renaming it, the same error occurs). Any advice would be appreciated. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux Users Group Mailing List - http://www.slug.org.au To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in the text
