I have just got a new connection to BigPond Direct,
with the activation fax this morning. (yay!)
But I'm having trouble connecting using pppd. :(
I was wondering if someone has more experience could help...
I have been dialing up to another ISP successfully using pppd, and some chat
scripts that uses the standard 'ogin' and 'assword'.
But with BP Direct I don't get those messages when I connect,
only garbage chars. Is that mean it's using PAP? CHAP?
So I connect on for about 20 secs before disconnecting.
I'm using Mandrake 6.1, with demand dialing pppd setup.
Any pointers would be great,
