I have - just after I sent the post and so far so good. 

I'm not a gnomephile either, mainly because the gnome apps are not
really what I want, so the motivation isn't there to learn it. I find
the gnome Vs KDE stuff just like the WordPerfect Vs MS Word leap frog
scenario of years ago. Plus, this gnomeee has been Red Hat modified.
Pager and xload is all I'm really interested in and twvm (?) was good
enough for that. (Yes, 1 twvm, 1 kde and 1 RH gnome).

Yes Raster - I will look at e when I get a 21" screen (ob mention of e
