I am trying to set up an ext2 file system on a Quantum LPS270 disk, but no
matter what I do it refuses to co-operate.
If I dd /dev/zero to it then it segfaults or oops'. If I set up a
partition table and try to mke2fs then it hangs. If I do a mke2fs -c then
it oops'.
I guess it looks like being a bin job, which will be hard to take as it
had Evilware running on it before I started.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what else I might try on this piece of
iron before it gets used for target practice.
Howard.
