My apologies for the off-topic post, but I am in urgent need of a permanent modem connection for hosting my low traffic website and I am wondering if any of you could provide any alternatives to: Telstra BigPond Direct ($500 setup, $20 / month min., 19c / Mb) Optus ($180 setup, $40 / month min., 18c / Mb) I am currently consulting connect.com.au, and am just wondering about people's experiences with the above and others? I would prefer to join a backbone provider rather than through an ISP (one more system to avoid is always good).
