Other than the obvious stupidity of keeping your work on a single hard
or floppy disk, the other one I see time and time again is when the user
has only one backup disk, and copies the file to that disk, overwriting
the possibly-good backup.  Many people need to be taught about having a
queue of several disks.  CD-R is good in that respect.

The other obvious point to make is don't keep backups on site, in case
of fire or theft.
