I have been trying to get the following entry in my /etc/aliases file to
work with Sendmail 8.9.3 on Redhat 6.0:
Secretary: [EMAIL PROTECTED], "|/usr/local/bin/mailbot.pl
/hdb1/www/docs/www.ascc.org.au/autoreply.txt"
But, I get the following error message returned to me:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/usr/local/bin/mailbot.pl /hdb1/www/docs/www.ascc.org.au/autoreply.txt"
(expanded from: [EMAIL PROTECTED])
----- Transcript of session follows -----
sh: mailbot.pl not available for sendmail programs
554 "|/usr/local/bin/mailbot.pl
/hdb1/www/docs/www.ascc.org.au/autoreply.txt"... Service unavailable
I have had this working on earlier releases of sendmail. I even have an
old entry in the aliases file that I know used to work and it is in
checked man sendmail, man aliases and the "documentation" for mailbot.pl
Any clues?
Thanks,
Dennis
