There are a number of possible ways to explain the phenominon
1 - SLUG doesn't have enough social events where member can show that
they have a life and interests outside GNU/Linux. I think the last
attempt by someone to organise such an event ended in flames itself.
2 - the discussion is actually a long running discussion on
requirmements for GNU/Linux when it achieves world domination.
3 - It is just confirming the need for a good linux accounting package
that will answer the questions like How much are spent on roads?, Is a
bicycle really faster after you pay for your car, Is setiathome the
cause of greenhouse warming? etc.
So - which pub and who is first shout?
(I guess we are going to have to choose a pub with pool tables so the
E fanatics will come along (aps for esoteric joke from last night's
meeting )).
