After a little discussion at the expo with SLUG people
about boosting SLUG numbers and how this was
achieved it other countries, I thought I might bounce
a few ideas about. With the AGM approaching something
might become of it,
The proposal is to add several specific topic lists where
people may escape what they percieve to be unrelated
or unwanted mails. Some people do not care for whether
a new advocacy site makes page 3 of the Fin Reveiw,
others may deem this a major achivement in the linux
plan for world domination.
Extra lists might look something like this
slug-general ..... A general discussion group for all things linux
slug-hardware. A discussion list for hardware related issues
slug-server ...... For those running servers for fun and/or profit
slug-desktop .... With kde on the march and raster doin his thing.
slug-admin ...... For issues related the running of SLUG eg. new list
proposals.
I am sure many people have many ideas for different lists an what
content
they would like to see.
